Rother District Council have granted planning consent further to planning application ref: RR/2017/382/P for the erection of a total of 58 houses and 12 flats together with the conversion of the Mill to provide 26 flats, restoration of the Oast House to provide 400 sqm Class B1, conversion and extension of the ground floor of the Mill to provide 280 sqm A3 and provision of 520 sqm new build B1 space (known as Wealden Hall) together with access, car/cycle parking, open amenity space, strategic landscaping and green infrastructure. The Council have agreed that there will be no initial provision of affordable housing subject to a viability reappraisal in respect of onsite provision following the completion of initial site works and a further reappraisal to determine off-site contributions on occupation of the 15th dwelling.
