The site has Outline Planning Permission for the construction of 80 dwellings. A development of 80 units would result in a residential density of 43 dwellings per hectare. Policy HOU2 of the Black Country Core Strategy and Policy HC1 of the Walsall Site Allocation Document Publication Draft, both of which require a minimum density of 35 dwelling units per hectare. Therefore, there shall be no detrimental impact upon neighbouring residents. To ease vehicle congestion, 90 car parking spaces have been proposed for the new development.
