Details

  • The site was formerly an opencast coal site, which since restoration has been used for agricultural land and areas of landscaping. The workings ceased in 1994. The land is being re-engineered to achieve a minimum ground bearing capacity of 80kn/m² with works fully warranted. The seller has been working with NHBC for several years and once fully remediated the site would be capable of achieving NHBC’s Land Endorsement Certificate meaning housebuilders will be able to benefit from the NHBC’s kite mark warranty. Contractors started on-site in November 2018, with groundworks and infrastructure remedial works estimated to take around 16 months to complete. Phase 1 will be completed by March 2020 and Templegate are seeking a conditional sale to a house builder by Spring 2020.
